Mr Thangaraju is a trailblazer in large-scale agricultural development – an industry veteran with over 40 years of hands-on experience shaping the plantation landscape across Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua.

Armed with an Executive Diploma in Plantation Management & Entrepreneurship, a Diploma in Tropical Agriculture & Commercial Management, and a Licentiate from the Incorporated Society of Planters, he combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial foresight.

His distinguished career includes pivotal roles such as General Manager (GM) for Rimbunan Sawit (Sarawak), where he managed 54,000 hectares of mature, immature, and replanting Oil Palm developments. In Indonesia, he spearheaded operations as GM for Capitol Plantations, overseeing 18,000 hectares under Sinar Mas Estates, and as Plantation Manager for Goodhope Group, where he drove the land clearing and development of 20,000 hectares alongside mill establishment.

His expertise also extends to Africa, where he took the helm as GM for JB Farms (Oban) Plantation in Nigeria, leading the development of 5,600 hectares, and later for Tropic Palm Limited’s 10,000-hectare Oil Palm project in Ondo State.
